Early bird or just wait it out?

“The early bird gets the worm.”
“Good things happen to those who wait”
“Strike while the iron is hot.”
“Patience is a virtue.”

Clearly these saying conflict each other. The empirical truth of the matter is that each situation is different and the course of action to take really depends on how much you know about the situation.

If you are not well informed about anything, its best to wait and find out exactly what decision you are trying to make before taking the plunge. So summing up, move fast if you know what you are doing, and take your time, if you don’t know what you are doing. There is no way around it.
